ANATOMICAL KNITTING - PERFECT FIT + NECKLINES

How to make sure that any sweater is going to fit exactly as you like and to change, adapt and adjust the neckline of any sweater!

Learn how to shape and adapt any sweater pattern for a truly personalised fit. In this workshop, we’ll cover how to interpret standard sizes, understand ease, and what to look out for before casting on—ensuring the finished garment fits your body and style.

We’ll explore ways to adjust and modify necklines—whether crew, V-neck, cowl, or turtleneck—and discover techniques to adjust necklines that might be too wide or not sitting as intended, even after the project is complete.

Finally, you’ll discover how to use German Short Rows to fine-tune fit without complex calculations adjusting width and length without influencing the pattern’s stitch count—perfect for accommodating the body’s three-dimensional shape and to adapt patterns to flatter diverse body types and morphologies.

Workshop Materials:

Bring a measuring tape, pen, pencil, and some stash yarn with matching needles (DK or similar), enough for a 10 x 10 cm swatch.

Optional: A past project with a neckline issue or a pattern you’d like to modify.
